Erdentempel is the fourth album by German folk metal band Equilibrium
Erdentempel's sound is defined by black metal style vocals with clean vocals used to highlight large or important sections in the music, mostly upbeat and positive music and lyrics, with an orchestra of traditional symphonic instruments as well as traditional folk music instruments. All songs (with the exception of The Unknown Episode) are sung in German, which some may find as a negative factors but I feel that the melodies and songwriting are strong enough that it doesn't matter what language it is in. If you are a fan of folk metal who is at least somewhat tolerant of harsh vocals you will have a wonderful time listening to Erdentempel, if you don't like harsh vocals I would recommend to give them a shot and if you find it listenable then there is an instrumental version of the album that is included on most versions.
Who would like it?
Metal fans who are tolerant or enjoy harsh vocals, like symphonic/folk elements in the music they listen to, as well as those who enjoy metal with a sense of fun and positivity to it.
Who wouldn't like it?
non-metal fans, and metal fans who like their music less bombastic and more heavy (I would still recommend the songs Karwane and Apokalyspse though)
